Timothy Coomer

American artist Dr. Timothy L. Coomer, PhD paints in the Neo-Plasticism style and finds his inspiration in the work of Piet Mondrian and in the revolutionary theories of Stephen Wolfram where complexity can be generated from simple rules. More recently, Dr Coomer has explored methods and techniques made popular by Jackson Pollock. This has resulted in a new series of paintings that will be available starting late in 2018.

Dr Coomer’s work as an artist began as a second career after he had studied a broad set of topics at some of the nation’s top universities. He was recognized for his unique analytical abilities while still in grade school. These abilities were nurtured by various mentors and led to advanced mathematical studies and a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Coomer went on to receive a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from Vanderbilt University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Business with a focus on advanced mathematical modeling and personality modeling to predict job performance.
