Erica Lynch

I was born an Artist. I've always loved to draw, paint and create, but the medium of film and digital photography captured both my heart and my imagination. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from University of Arizona in 2012. I studied the technical aspects of light; the manner in which light forms, turns to shape, and becomes something different, and also how photographs are changed by the absence of light in certain places. As a desert dweller I am fascinated with that which is foreign to me, especially water environments. Water is at once fast, still, violent and unpredictable. I am intrigued with ocean creatures, particularly jellies and the complexities of these ancient organisms. Nature presents a vastness of possibility. Travel inspires me and I will be winding up my travel adventures shortly to pursue an MFA in Photography.
