Who we were as children is always there in our imaginations, and at those moments when we feel carefree and playful. Exposing those moments is a powerful reminder of the child within each of us and the connection to our true selves, removing the layers we build around us in our adult lives.
These ideas are the underpinnings of my work, which explores children’s loose and beautiful ways of seeing and imagining the world. Avoiding grown-up rules and fixed realities, I paint to express moments of freedom that spark childhood feelings and bring back playful moments and memories.
