Elena Falbo

Born in Rome in 1977, I do live between France and Italy. After my study in Tourism Business, begun to travel for culture, business and pleasure. The professional conversion to photography begun slow, start as autodidact; moved to South Africa in 2009 I attended classes at Cape Town Photography School. The trips followed one another: Europe, Maldives, United States, Hawaii, Caribbean, Reunion Island, French Polynesia, Africa. Pictures take shape and soak with faces, landscapes, the beauty and the contrast that surrounds me on the way. Emotions play an important role in all my creations, most of the time I'm moved from the desire to "catch" a smell, an emotion surfaced discovering the world (surprise, fear, weather feelings, wellbeing) a dream, a state of mind. In post production I alway try to set a mood and transmit those sensation throughout light enchanting, details enchanting, colors. It is my own way to perceive "reality" which can be sometimes objective or fruit of my mental traveling between space and time...
I do believe in the power of colors or shades in monochrome, to set moods and almost let the viewer "sense" the smell that convoy the scene...
