Chiara Cola

I am an Italian digital artist working with printing, videos and fabrics design. I exhibited my work in galleries in Italy, London, Uk and Hong Kong. I have been a finalist in the international competition "Visionary cities" at the Alphaville festival, London, Uk, with the video "Zobeide-Isaura", part of a work in progress inspired to the book "Invisible cities" by Italo Calvino.
My last video "V.O.Y.E.U.R.", a collaborative project with fashion photographer Kofi Paintsil and musician Arbol, was selected for the event "Voyeur" at Art Basel Miami Beach, 3-4th December 2010, organized by , in collaboration with Young patrons American friends of the Louvre, Quintessentially and Miami art museum contemporaries.
It will be featured in "Voyeur", the 3rd issue of art and fashion online magazine XXXX.


I had a show in London from February till April 2011 at Harvey nichols department store, 4th floor.
I also work and print on pure silk, twill, crepe de chine, stretch tulle.

I love investigating the mysterious interstices between reality and imagination and the hidden lives of objects and people.
I am particularly interested in textures, shapes and colors.
