Julia Letvitskaya

I am an artist who strives to be as honest as possible with myself and the viewer. I
am always impressed by "simple" things and people - I see greatness in everyday
life, in the fullness of life and want to make sense of my existence, to express on
canvas what is important to me.
I explore the emotional and symbolic experience of my generation, what we grew
up with, and also research the socio-historical images of our society.
Imaginary reality
Research of one's feelings, perception of the surrounding world, people, memories. An attempt to
achieve greater inner freedom. I was always fascinated by the beauty of nature, the Ukrainian
landscape. A lot of time in my life was spent wandering around with a sketchbook, trying to convey
my delight. Over time, the idea of creating associative pictures, reflections, and emotional mixtures
arose. Creating an imaginary harmonious space that does not exist in reality.
Research, as a kind of attempt to restore history in one shot in the neo-impressionist style. Contrasting
the moment "here and now" with a continuous undifferentiated, and therefore not meaningful flow of
time - reflects the experience of the variability of corporeality in time. A moment of life, full of feeli...
