Lera Ryazanceva — The Art of Seeing Architecture Differently

I am Lera Ryazanceva, a Russian-born artist based in Albania. My work explores the character of cities and architecture through intricate, hand-drawn ink compositions.

I am fascinated by the rhythm of architectural forms, the geometry of buildings, and the countless details that give each place its own identity. My drawings are more than representations of familiar landmarks — they are personal interpretations of the spaces that inspire me, shaped by the way I observe, experience, and remember them.

Working primarily with ink on paper, I build each composition through precise, deliberate linework. My distinctive approach combines architectural detail with a considered sense of composition, balance, and visual rhythm. The restrained black-and-white palette allows form, texture, and intricate patterns to take centre stage, rewarding a closer look and revealing new details over time.

With a background in visual arts and clothing design, I bring a sensitivity to proportion, structure, and the relationship between detail and the overall composition. Every original drawing is created by hand, making each work a one-of-a-kind piece.
