Yuliya Martynova

Berkshire‑based contemporary painter is known for her ethereal visual language, developed across multiple collections through the use of heavily diluted media, often mixed directly on canvas and other unconventional surfaces. In her work, she seeks to escape the intensity of urban life and enter moments of carefree contemplation of natural elements.

For each series, Yuliya experiments with surfaces that best complement the lead medium—whether it is the adaptability of traditional oil (La Femme Nuage, Migration), the delicate laciness of watercolour (Blue Bay, Connected), or the visceral strength of oil pastel (House of Eden).

Yuliya’s pieces tell stories that reflect her life experiences and values, resonating deeply with her collectors. Her art radiates a defiantly positive energy, amplified through colour and expressed with a comforting sense of balance and a strong, unmistakable personal presence.

Her distinct touch - an elegant, almost effortless flow-- soon captivated art curators and collectors alike, landing her work in some of London’s well connected galleries and collaborations with designers, luxury institutions, and hospitality projects.
