Barbara Piatti. The Painter
Barbara is a narrator. Her paintings are talking about life, meeting people and at the same time they are a diary of her unsaturated curiosity. Piatti's work are philosophical and precious. You sink into them; feel the force of nature and the author's power. She is a traveler, always looking for what could be next:invisibility,unspeakable things and what is proper for discoverers: to surmount horizons, to open new perspectives. Her art reflects all the contrasts life (her life) is giving to us. With her techniques and intelligent presence she is always able to create harmony, in spite of quoted contrasts, a harmony what makes us really dreaming. In her strong presence the works wake up our demands and longings to share the artist's unsaturated curiosity. B.P. the painter,like she calls herself,but she is much more. She is a painter,philosopher and a contemporary traveler,but always an artist.She is a discovery.

1964 born in Laufen,Switzerland.
1983 High school Graduation
1984 Art school in Basel
1986 Attended Department of Art History and Philosophy at Zürich University.
1988 Settled in Paris.
1989-2002 Master student of the Irish painter Reginald Gray. Became member of Visarte, society of Swiss visual artists.
1997/98 Lives &works in Berlin,creates her first City & industrial paintings "Les chemins du futur" Paris-Berlin,several exhibitions and her first catalog is edited!
1999 moves to the Loire valley,creates the works and another edition "Au bord de Loire",life at the river Loire, Industrie, Nature and Human beings!
2003 She got the French nationality by marriage
2005 Artist residency in New York
2006 Stay in Camiguin island(Philippines) at his brother's place, Gabriel Piatti, sculptor & painter
2008 First artist residency in Beijing during the olympic games supported by Imagine Gallery, Beijing. Creates the first part of Chinese Cities Trilogy "Beijing Short Cuts".
2009 Second artist residency in Beijing with Imagine Gallery,creates second part of Chinese Cities Trilogy "Shanghai Short Cuts".
2010 Artsit residency in New York, creates "Manhattan Soul" and has different exhibitions in Switzerland and France "East meets ...

Since 1990 she is having solo & group exhibitions mainly in France, Switzerland,Germany & since 2008 in China.
