Born 1964 Fremont, California USACurrently lives in Los Angeles.Associate Professor, Art Center College of Design.
Inspired by his vast collection of 19th century photography, as well as Baroque and Medieval sculpture, Aaron Smith paints his figures with the swagger and intensity of expressionism while maintaining a woozy ambivalence toward the nostalgic.
