Dorota Szpil

Dorota Szpil explores themes of identity and human presence within larger forces such as nature or spirituality. It communicates themes of balance - between light and darkness, the individual and the community, man and nature. She bases her art on careful listening and feeling. She mainly paints portraits, calling them 'portraits of souls'. Thanks to rich symbolism, the artist shows the inner world of the portrayed people. She is also inspired by her own, intimate experiences as well as nature and esotericism.
