Aliaksei Navazhilau

I was born in 1965. As a kid I studied at Art School for Children. I served in the military in Afganistan and within Special Forces. I majored from civil engineering college and worked in construction for many years. Drawing has always been my hobby. My favorite artists are Sourikov, Vrubel, Rembrandt and Rubens. I am very impressed by the artwork of Salvador Dali and Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo and Julia Bell. I mostly work in black and white graphics and I adore Durer. There is something sculptural in my attitude to drawing: as if I was sculpting the shapes. There is something surrealistic in what I do as most images come to my mind while I am asleep.
