Earth Painting

I’m Neha A Ruia and I’m a visual artist. I was born, raised and currently reside in Mumbai, India. Fuelled by passion, I began painting as a hobby. Little did I know, that it would turn into a profession soon after. Since then i've participated in the India Art Festival, May 2022 (Nehru Centre, Mumbai, India) and the Mumbai Art Fair, October 2022 (Nehru Centre, Mumbai, India). All through my childhood and growing up years, I was fortunate enough to have spent copious amounts of time with nature. I would love observing the sights and sounds around me. The four seasons and the colours each of them brought with them, the shapes and textures of leaves strewn around, the magnificence of a sunset and last but not the least the fragrance of soil after the first rain. Animals, foliage, colours and shapes (geometric or otherwise) amidst the abundance of nature, continue to inspire me and resonate with my finer senses. My art ranges across various styles such as landscape, abstract, creative, realistic and portraiture which allows me to cater to the diverse requirements and aesthetic needs of different spaces. The medium I work with most is acrylic on canvas. That apart, oil on canvas, watercolour on paper, charcoal on paper, charcoal on canvas, mixed media and digital art are mediums I use as well.
