Since I was a child I have been drawing, painting and creating. At 9 my mother gave me a paint by numbers kit and was surprised when I created my own color scheme. This was to be the beginning of my artist voice and I was forever exploring mediums to find the perfect way to express my art. I have designed clothing, painted in acrylic, watercolor, airbrush and now oils. I studied art on a commercial scale at the Academy of Art in San Francisco and was a graphic and advertising artist for 5 years in the 70's. Though this gave me a great technical ability, I have been fortunate to study with artists I greatly admire and who have helped shape my present artistic direction. Ray Jacobson, now deceased, in watercolor and Brooks Anderson, alive and well in Santa Rosa, CA. Both of these gifted teachers have assisted in shaping my artistic voice have given me the ability to show the world my view of the beautiful region I live in which is Wine Country in Sonoma Valley, CA!
