As a professional painter from China, my artistic journey is deeply rooted in the rich tapestry of traditional Chinese aesthetics, yet it constantly seeks dialogue with contemporary global art movements. My approach is a deliberate fusion, aiming to bridge the profound philosophical underpinnings of Eastern art with the dynamic expressive possibilities of Western techniques.
My primary inspiration stems from two inexhaustible sources: the sublime beauty of nature and the intricate nuances of human experience. Growing up amidst China's diverse landscapes, from the majestic mountains to the serene rivers, I developed a profound appreciation for the natural world's inherent harmony and ever-changing vitality. This is not merely about replicating what I see, but about capturing the 'qi' (气) – the vital energy and spirit – that permeates all living things. I often find myself drawn to the subtle interplay of light and shadow, the delicate balance of form and void, and the transient moments that reveal nature's enduring power...
