The colours, textures and compositions of the natural landscape get me so excited, I paint to try and bring that beauty inside. Working freestyle without sketching, I never fully plan a painting, I like to choose a palette and let the paint flow - building layers of intense colour, placing intricate pattern against smooth opaque, fluid forms against solid blocks. I never quite know what a piece is going to become until it gets there. Both simple and detailed, vibrant and subtle, every artwork is an expression of the movement and harmony of the natural world. For me art is about feeling uplifted and calm at the same time, I hope my paintings make you feel fresh as the ocean and warm as the sunbaked cliffs!

I studied printing and surface design before going on to have a career producing observational documentaries for television. Now I paint full time and license my artwork for wall art reproduction around the world.
