Gizem Taskin

I am Gizem, a young artist with a deep-rooted passion for art that goes back to my childhood. I began my formal art education in 2016, graduating with a degree in sculpture. Although my background is in sculpture, I found my true calling in oil painting and mixed techniques, which have allowed me to express myself more deeply.

For me, art is not just a form of expression, but a way of connecting with my inner self and the world around me. My work is often inspired by themes of self-discovery, transformation, and the exploration of consciousness. I strive to challenge traditional boundaries and create works that evoke a sense of mystery and contemplation.

I am constantly inspired by surrealism and the works of artists who dare to explore the unknown. With every piece, I aim to offer a glimpse into a world where the lines between reality and imagination blur, inviting the viewer to interpret and reflect.

As I continue on this journey, my goal is to develop my practice further, exploring new techniques, and sharing my work with those who are open to the dialogue that art can bring. Each brushstroke is an opportunity to grow and connect, and I am excited for what the future holds.
