The gentle abstraction of an unusual perspective in skyscapes plays with our understanding of perception as I explore an inner world of emotions. I investigate the push-and-pull of seeking calm, observing wonder, and striving for more out of our human experience.

I layer oils and acrylics to create bring to life these atmospheric pieces. I usually begin with a neon pink underpainting or base, even for what will ultimately become a muted color pallet. This plays with the exploration of inner worlds. Below the surface, most viewers would not expect to see a drastically different saturated hue below. Light and quick brush strokes in the clouds accumulate over layers to bring a peaceful tone and gentle movement.
