Lori Harrison is a multi-disciplinary artist with a studio practice in Toronto. Her work has been acquired by private collectors and public institutions across North America.
Lori’s art is a practice in noticing and celebrating the beauty found in the meeting points between the natural and manufactured worlds.
She chooses to depict this intersection with beauty, celebrating the intimate tension we sense, and how it manifests in the real world around us. To her, this beauty is material and analog. Her work is tactile; she use textures – pieces of fabrics sewn together, mesh, paints and found objects – to give physicality to this tension and remind us of the importance of the physical world.
