Mark Boyle

Photography has been one of the main constants throughout my life and landscape photography has been the main creative driving force. It has always been a perfect synthesis between my love of photography and my love of the Australian landscape; in particular, the rugged northern regions of Western Australia.

In my late teens and early twenties I worked extensively throughout the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and Murchison regions of Western Australia as a field assistant for mineral exploration companies. This made it possible for me to see and experience many amazing places that I would not normally have had the opportunity to visit.

I worked as a professional photographer during the 1980's and 1990's in Melbourne and Perth. During that time I achieved a Master of the A.I.P.P (Australian Institute of Professional Photography certification. In 1996 I won the AIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year Award in Western Australia.

Throughout my adult life I have made many solo journeys into these regions to explore and photograph their unique and amazing beauty.

1983 to1986 - Diploma in Fine Art Photography at Photography Studies College, Melbourne, Australia. Graduated with a Distinction.

1997 to 1999 - Degree in Interactive Multimedia Technology at Edith Cowan University, Mount Lawley, Perth, Western Australia.

I have not exhibited my work in galleries in Australia since the 1990's
