Alejandro Lupiañez

Alejandro Lupiañez is a polymath, artist and fine arts undergraduate based in Córdoba, Argentina. With a multidisciplinary approach, his work explores intersections between art, exact sciences, languages, history, philosophy and politics, often drawing inspiration from the cultural and political landscape of his home city. Using traditional fine art techniques with elaborate conceptual frameworks and an exchacerbate interest in noble materials, he creates pieces that reflect on themes such as the dialectic of history, collective memory, the constant search for bucolic places, or delving into fields such as chaotic systems, synthetic pigments, novel and obscure photographic techniques, which influence their exploration of chance, balance, and narrative in their work. He uses analytical thinking mixed with with strong emotional storytelling, and strives to produce art that resonates intellectually and viscerally.
