Simone Weber

Born in the early 1970s, I grew up in one of the most inspiring areas of Germany - the amazing Rhine Valley, cradle of Romantic painting and haunt of my all time favourite, Joseph Mallord William Turner.

At home there was never lack of paint and paper, due to my parents being involved into fashion and photograpy. I remember myself beginning to explore my environment through the viewfinder of my very first camera at the age of 6 - and I still do.

The subject of my artwork is nature in the broadest sense. Accompanied by my camera and my beloved poodle girl Ebony, I discover passages to the world behind and talk to its messengers - always trying to find a different view.

The colorful and spirited City of Bonn is the place of my work and living.
