Simon McDermott Artists CV

Simon studied visual communications in the National College of Art & Design from 1995-1999. He has worked extensively in the design and creative industries in Ireland and New York since then. In the last 5 years he has moved away from commercial design to concentrate on his own practice in Photography and Documentary film.

In 2010 he completed an MSc in Multimedia in DCU with a specialization on digital photography and documentary filmmaking.

He has exhibited recently in group shows in the RHA and The Solstice Art Centre in Navan. He has an interest in landscape photography and figurative painting which he has been casually involved in for the last 20yrs.

He is currently working as a tutor Multimedia Design & Technology in a number of schools as well as practicing as a professional photographer.
