My painting practice is fusion of experience, emotive memory, hidden histories, reflection, and reality. My art practice is a meditative space, shaped by nature wanderings, slowing down, and deep listening to place. In these quiet, reflective moments, views can awaken embedded memories and emotions that reach beyond the visible landscape. These spatial and emotional experiences are shaped by both the seen and the unseen—by the intimate exchanges between past and present.

Exploring how to distill sensory experiences in paintings; nature’s movement, the changing light and the atmosphere. The landscape serves as cartographies, echoes of the past, scars on the land, geological formations, new growth.

I was born on Gadigal Country. I now live, teach, paint and raise a family on the lands of the Awabakal and Worimi peoples. I continue to work towards decolonising and dismantling anthropocentric views in the spaces in which I live, work, design and paint in.
