Meg Walch

I am an established female contemporary painter based in Tasmania, Australia. I work between abstraction and figuration drawing on pictorial traditions from Europe and South East Asia. My artwork and research interests have evolved through residencies in Europe, USA, Taipei, Thailand, Tokyo and South Korea. I am a Samstag Scholar (AUS) an alumna of the Space Program, New York.
I have exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Australia, USA and South East Asia for over a period of thirty years.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours,(University of Tasmania) a Master of Fine Arts (USA) and a Studio-led PhD in painting from the University of Tasmania. I am an alumna of the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine, USA.
