Amy Blue is a multidisciplinary artist creating works connected to her personal queer history within the landscape of pop culture, humour and nostalgia. As pop culture shifts and changes, so does the style and focus subjects of Amy’s work. But regardless of the illustration style or subject matter of Amy’s works, they are all connected to her identity as a queer artist. Merging both her design and illustration skills, Amy has created a vast range of queer nonsense to make you laugh and ponder. Ranging from art prints to lapel pins to stickers and colouring in books, these have been sold at local markets and retail outlets in the Sydney area such including Finders Keepers, Sydney Made, MCA Zine Fair, Blue Dog Posters, Gleebooks and Hypmotive as well as being available for purchase on her online shop. Amy places a strong connection between her work and her queer community and proudly works with amazing LGBTIQA+ companies like ACON, Twenty10GLCS, Rainbow Families and Prosper Project Australia, and has built a reputation for delivering queer made illustration for queer issues that really matter. Amy has also worked on projects with companies such as City of Sydney, Central Park Mall, Double Roasters, Homelessness NSW, University of Sydney, UTS and Paramount House.
