Martin Edward

I'm 44 years old and living in southern California. I was born in Portland, OR but discovered I need a lot more sun than Oregon could provide. I'm a live in caregiver for a long time friend that was first hit by a school bus from behind while out on his bike and then within 4 months was diagnosed with Colon cancer. The great news is he's in remission and has more good days than bad now. It's still a 23 hour and 59 minute job for me, but thankfully I have that last minute for my art. As my friend continues to regain his independence I will start having more time to dedicate to my work. I hope to find a way to make it my living one day.

I was a paramedic before I gave up my job to care for my friend. I am currently enrolled in art classes at a local college and am looking forward to starting in February.
