Kseniya Dueva

Ksenia was born in Moldova and holds a degree in pharmacy from Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Ksenia’s journey in Chinese painting begins with tradition but moves toward personal, intuitive expression. Working in the xie yi style, she seeks to convey not the form, but the essence — the mood, the breath of the moment, the inner stillness.
The minimalism in her work is rooted in the philosophy of black and the poetry of emptiness. Through simple forms, she searches for depth, inviting the viewer to see more in less. While honoring classical principles, Ksenia explores new horizons, where art speaks in the language of feeling, rhythm, and silence.

Alongside her scientific studies, she pursued traditional Chinese painting at the Confucius Institute of Moscow State Linguistic University and the “Chainka” Studio of East Asian Painting and Calligraphy in Moscow. Over the years, she studied under various masters, deepening her skills in classical genres such as “Four Gentlemen,” “Flowers and Birds,” and traditional Chinese landscape.
Since 2023, she has been living and working in Thailand, where she teaches Chinese painting and continues to explore her personal artistic direction
