India d’Scarlett is a photographic artist from Cairns, Australia. d’Scarlett received a BFA in Photography with High Distinction from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Her work has been exhibited throughout Canada and Australia and in 2018 she completed an eight month Artist Residency at The School of Photographic Arts: Ottawa, Canada. Soft, organic, disturbing, and provocative, her photographs emanate a painterly quality and abstraction which is achieved through experimental in-camera techniques. These processes are used to blur lines between women, their environment, and the preconceived notions of their sexuality. d’Scarlett is currently living and working as an artist in Byron Bay, Australia.
