Oleksii Ovcharenko

Oleksii Ovcharenko is a professional art critic, painter, and sculptor. I’m working in the field of painting (oil, acrylic), design, easel, and monumental sculpture. I participated in regional and All-Ukrainian exhibitions. My works are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany. Paintings: "Roses and Crystal" (1999.71x92 cm. Oil on canvas) "Look of the Universe" (2018, 120x80 cm, Oil on canvas) "Romantic bouquet" (2019, 90x80 cm., Oil on canvas) "The Rock of Love "(2021,100x100 cm, Canvas, acrylic); " Over the Tysa " (2021, 70x50 cm, Oil on canvas) and others. Sculptural works: "Monument to the first mayor of Poltava Kukoba A.T.". (2012, bronze, granite, 330X180X140 cm.), "The Virgin" (2009, bronze, marble, 110X45X45 cm.), "The Hunter" (2005, bronze, 32X34X20 cm.), "The Nativity of Christ" (2014, bronze, casting, chasing 73X53 cm) and others.

I graduated from the painting department of the Lugansk Art School (1980-84), the Kiev State Art Institute - now the Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (1985 - 1992), completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of Art History, Folklore and Ethnography named after A. M. T. Rylsky (1995-98). 1999 defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Art Criticism). I have published about forty articles on the history and theory of fine arts.

Awarded with diplomas of the All-Ukrainian program "The Gold Fund of the Nation" for a significant contribution to the development of culture and art of Ukraine (2014) and a Diploma of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund (2014). Participant of the International project ART PROFESSIONAL and exhibitions in the USA, Germany, Austria (2020), of the Program of the Ukrainian Confederation of Journalists “Art Olympus. Ukraine Through the Eyes of Artists”. Participant of International and all-Ukrainian Plein-airs "The World Through the Eyes of Artists"(2021).
