Cassandra works within the realm of architecture, architectural visualisation and visual theory. At the core of her theoretical work lies an intense enquiry into how the cognitive structures of our brain allow us to perceive space, and subsequently design for it.

Her work explores the notion of fragmentation as a process of creation and this is based on an argument that, since the emergence of mathematical structures as the underlying order of the material world and since the geometric deconstruction of our visual field in theories of optics, there has been a significant paradigm shift in the way we read space, from whole to fragments. Reading in fragments involves a process of interpretation of forms and qualities. This process of interpretation allows us to understand our surrounding and therefore, design for these surroundings.

The work in itself is an ode to the human endeavour to see, understand and create.
