Ornella Orlandini

Born in 1980 Turin, Italy. Lives and works in Berlin.
She studied Pedagogy and attained her degree in cultural anthropology with a final paper about housing for young single mothers in Bolivia, where she lived several months. In 2005 she expanded her photographic knowledge, achieving a master's degree at the European Institut of Design; since 2008 she has worked as a professional photographer in the sphere of portraits and documentary photography. She has published the books “Venaria, città Reale” (EGA libri, Turin 2008) and “Un viaggio alla Venaria Reale” (Daniela Piazza editors, Turin 2009); in 2010 she presented “New Families, 100 ritratti di Famiglie” – Family portraits, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the first youth centre of the Salesianer, part of wich was on exhibit in the “Museo Diffuso della Resistenza” in Turin.
In 2011, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, she took part in the photo-campaign “La Fotografia interpreta Italia 150” (Region Piedmont, Associazione Immaginarium), with the portrait and interview project “Here Innovation”, in which she tells about the new inhabitants of Turin in the world of Start up.
