John Dessereau

John P. Dessereau (Johnsville) is a New York–based illustrator and fine artist whose work explores the intersection of urban storytelling, pop culture, and personal mythology. Working across drawing, painting, and design, Dessereau blends bold graphic linework with a deep sense of narrative, transforming everyday imagery into iconic visual language.

Rooted in the energy of New York City, his practice reflects both the immediacy of street culture and the timelessness of hand-crafted mark making. While his commercial illustration has been featured on apparel, murals, and collaborations with restaurants and brands, his fine art work expands into one-of-a-kind ink drawings and paintings that highlight his distinct visual vocabulary.

Through his studio, Johnsville, Dessereau creates works that move between public and intimate spaces — from merchandise and design projects to framed originals — always emphasizing accessibility, storytelling, and a sense of play.

He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
