Cynthia Vasconcellos

Born in Porto Alegre / Brazil.

With Bachelor degree in 1985, Cynthia was a very active member of the visual art scene movement in her hometown in the 80’s with her University colleagues
creating, taking part in events and group exhibitions. Also shown her paintings in influential Brazilian exhibitions as VIII National Art Contest (at Museum of Modern Art - Rio de Janeiro) and XIX International Biennial of Sao Paulo, where she was indicated by Luiz Paulo Baravelli, a prestigious Modernist Brazilian artist.

With engagement in arts, graphic design, communication, computers, trend
forecasting and indie culture, has been working for more than 27 years (after her move to Sao Paulo) mostly for fashion industry and artists. Her enthusiastic, fun and communicative personality works on creation of logos, textile design and prints,
image retouching, web managements, research and writing.

Currently lives and paints in Sao Paulo.

Bachelor of Fine Arts by Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), emphasis on Drawing.

Took butoh classes with Minako Seki (2012); studied Research of Cravings and Fashion Consume (2007 at SENAC Sao Paulo) and attended art workshops with Heloisa Schneiders and Luiz Paulo Baravelli in the 80’s. Also attended seminars and lectures in arts, fashion and communication fields highlighting with Day Fujiwara (2008), Marie Rucki (2007), II Meeting of Propaganda and Marketing College in (2007), among others...
