Contemporary artist with 36 years of professional practice (1990-present) based in London/Richmond, UK. Working in urban and industrial cityscapes, landscapes, abstract collage and paintings, figurative works, calligraphic and mark-based works. Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2024 exhibitor and sale, ING Discerning Eye 2021 exhibitor and sale. Exhibited by major New York and London galleries. Published, illustrated work for The Paris Review and Farrar, Straus and Giroux.

My practice is an open-ended investigation into visual experience, pursued simultaneously across multiple modes: observational urban and landscape painting, abstraction rooted in landscape structure, figurative and portraiture work, and mark-based calligraphic work. These strands weave continuously together as instruments of a common inquiry; their shared themes are:
