Art has always been at the heart of who I am. As a child, I spent countless hours drawing - instinctively observing the world around me and learning how to translate what I saw onto the page. That early passion for line, colour, and composition eventually led to a career in graphic design, where I refined my understanding of structure, balance, and visual storytelling.
But it was in 2006, after seeing David Hockney’s East Yorkshire landscapes, that something shifted. I felt a powerful pull back to painting - to working directly with light, colour, and form.
