Born in Brooklyn, New York. I currently live and work in beautiful New Brunswick, Canada.

My work explores simplified shapes and fragmented forms that are reminiscent of stained glass or the view through a kaleidoscope. These works were painted by building layers of shapes on top of each other. This creates a feeling of depth and mystery in the artworks. I also create shapes that hang in space against a light or dark expanse. These works have a meditative quality. In my art I create by finding the shapes in the painting, and searching for balance. I primarily work in acrylic, pastels and oils. I paint without taping the shapes because I want the viewer to feel the warmth of a human hand. I am inspired by the varied works of modernist artists such as Eduardo Chillida, Kim Lim, Paul Klee, Helga Poznanski, and Isamu Noguchi. My travels through cities around the world have influenced my work; watching the way light falls, the shapes made by shadows, and the incredible architecture.
