This picture was taken on a overcast day. I wanted to have it very subtle. It is slight variations of greyish colours. The abbey on the mont is blending into the sky and it creates very quiet atmosphere of the landscape.

I was born in 1956 and grew up in Lithuania. Studied at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Department of Architecture. While living in Lithuania I had a successful freelance photographer's career, was known as fine art photographer, organized many exhibitions in Lithuania and in other countries. A member of the Union of the Lithuanian fine art photographers since 1989. Currently live in a beautiful location in Germany near Trier. In my paintings I explore the world around me in it's constant change. I attentively observe my surroundings and I am fascinated by the traces of wear on natural or man-made objects and structure. It gives a unique touch to everything, be it plants, walls or human beings.
