Emily Kontelis

Emily attended Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her time at the Academy was spent studying dark subject matter, the human form, and conceptual thinking. She has done series on demons, figures in mythology, and honoring victims' of Serial Killers. Now after graduating in 2016, Emily has dived into a new series about the world of Heavy Body Modification and Human Suspension. A subculture that has always fascinated her since the first time she entered a tattoo shop at the age of six, to watch her parents get tattoos.
