Cristina Portela

Argentine, born in 1962. She studied law at the University of Buenos Aires. She studied painting at with Master Sergio Bazán, philosophy of art and history of art with curators Norberto Griffa, Alfredo Aracil, Laura Batkis and Valeria Gonzalez. She participated in the artist training program of the School of Contemporary Art Projects EPAC (2013-2014) at the ArtexArte Gallery. Member of the collective artists’ group “FUROR” and of the Group of Contemporary thoughts MDR. She has attended follow-up workshops for independent curators delivered by María Carolina Baulo, Mariana Rodriguez Iglesias, Ananké Asseff, Ernesto Ballesteros, Fernando Farina and Florencia Batitti. Member of the PANAL artist community (2013/2018) and of BASILIO (2018/2021). She was the Chief Executive for the first edition of Fundación Medifé Art and Environment Biennial, 2016-2017. She performed Solo and Group Exhibitions in Argentina and other countries like New York, Miami, Buenos Aires, Berlín, Lisboa y Madrid among others in Art Galleries, Museums and Fairs.
