My themes are horses from the Mughal and Tang Empires, birds, hares, gardens and interiors. I use gesso in some of my work which I build up in layers and distress, in conjunction with acrylic, oil and gold leaf. I particularly love the effect of craquelure.
I use deep canvases painted over the sides, none of my work needs to be framed and they are all ready to hang.
