Antony Hinchliffe

Tony’s painting is all about depicting the mood and intimacy within a moment, using a loose expressive approach to his brushwork creating spontaneity while carefully considering the placement of abstract alongside realism to create interest and the illusion of depth. He is particularly know for his take on abstract realism.

I studied A level Art and design then went on to study BA hons in Illustration. After graduation I worked in a few different areas including; marketing, graphic design, sales, farming, UK special forces and finally the ambulance service before I decided It was time to consider making a full time living from my painting, that was about 15 years ago.
