Neyla Nachi Bouattour

Neyla Nachi Bouattour is a Tunisian-born painter, ceramicist, and illustrator based in Los Angeles since 2014. Trilingual in Arabic, French, and English.

Trained at the Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts de Tunis, she holds a Master's in Mediterranean History and Museology. Her professional background spans the Bardo National Museum in Tunis, teaching Art and Plastic Arts, and art restoration of mosaics and archaeological artifacts.

Based in LA, she continued her ceramic studies at Santa Monica College and Beverly Hills High School. Working across acrylic, mixed media, ceramics, and illustration, Neyla translates her Mediterranean heritage into vibrant, layered surfaces. Her work explores joy, memory, and human connection through color and texture.

She has published illustrations for children’s books and created commissioned cover art for literary fiction. Also a literary translator from French to Arabic. Recent exhibitions include the Saban Theatre, Los Angeles 2026 and private shows.

Joined Saatchi Art in 2018.
