I am so fortunate to be an artist. I have the privilege to express myself through paint, pencils, and other tools in mostly abstract painting. I find inspiration in nature, particularly in the way light lights objects, shines through things, and gives life our glow. I also bring alot of color into my work and enjoy how color and line bring energy to a painting. I was awarded my biggest honor so far in 2021 when I received Signature Status in the National Watercolor Society with my painting "Dialogue."
I live in a rural area outside of Houston, Texas and enjoy our life with my husband, our grown children, grandchildren, and our dog Mia. We count our blessings every day.
Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy with advance studies in Orthopedics and am a retired Certified Hand Therapist
My Art education is mostly self taught, but I have to give credit to my art Mentor, Gerry Finch and the numerous teachers that I have learned from in workshops, Cheng Khee Chee, Mary Todd Beam, Mark Mehaffey, Carol Carter, Mary Whyte, Steve Rogers, and others. They each imparted a part of themselves through teaching that I also hope to pass along to my students.
