Morristown, NJ 1958Works on paper, collage and artist books. Educator and Arts Advocate.I often find small insects, seedpods, or birds nests and collect them as visual references. I study the richness of content and surface texture and emulate them through my varied materials and processes. I use an innovative collage technique that creates ancient-looking, timeworn surfaces. The work is always multi layered both in content and construction. Within this visual context I investigate the elements of human nature, which moves us to ask questions and consider the peculiar and odd, such as the human desire to collect, control and evaluate.Through all this I attempt to transcend the medium, and create a sense of intimate curiosity.
