Peter Walker

Born 1949, Melbourne, Victoria. Developing Neo-Portraiture Expressionism works in the area of portraiture/figurative work since 2007. I mainly work from imagination and the ongoing study of the human figure. My style is gestural, lyrical and expressionist in the areas of painting on canvas and drawings on arches paper. Working from imagination allows me the freedom to make "considered mistakes". I push ideas and lines until I find the thread to bring the work to completion.This keeps the work original in approach.
