ABOUT
I work in black and white because color explains too much. My photographs are built from brief, unrepeatable moments, a glance on a train, a body caught between shadow and neon, an animal holding still inside a tangle of roots, where something private surfaces briefly inside a public, often indifferent, world. I'm drawn to the tension between individual and system: a person against a city, a gesture against noise, stillness against motion. I don't stage what I photograph. I wait for it, then get out of its way. The work asks less "what is this" than "what does it cost to notice it."
