Born in 1974, Lugano (Ticino-Switzerland), she lives and works between Lugano (CH) and Emilia Romagna (Italy). Laura graduated from the School of Art Accademy from Brera (2005, Milan-Italy) in visual art. She also graduated in graphic design and in Artistic Research SUPSI (art researcher) where she developed a own specific methodology about participatory art projects. She working in art schools and museums as a teacher and artistic madiator. In recent years her work is mainly based on participatory art projects (residences and community) where she can mix the different fields and art languages in which she working and researching. She employs a wide range of media, including sculpture, performance, installation, video and photography, creating events to explore the subtle conditions of communication and creativity. She always research a connection between different medium aiming to develope relation art, involving community, educational istitutions or/and audience. Her work centers on using language (dialogic art) as his creative practice, expanding the possibilities for viewing and experiencing meanings creating workpieces with the audience co-operation. Laura Pellegrinelli has been working on a itinerant participatory project using writting and oral language in order to develop the arguments in artwork: performances, installations, sculptures, events, etc. She work has long been focusing on re-establishing the connections among humans, things, body, language, emotions and cognitive thinking.
