I work from my studio on the edge of the majestic Cairngorm Mountains surrounded by the geological wonders of Scotland’s ancient past.
Originally from South London I am still constantly in awe of my environment and often challenged by the harsh conditions the weather can bring to my studio practice.
My sculptures are an exploration of what it feels like to be human and are a psychological investigation of my experience of the world.
Often reacting to socio-political events that influence our everyday lives, I allow my feelings to intuitively mould my beings, learning something about my own reactions to the world in the process.
Making sculpture, for me personally, is a deep dive into my innermost self. It is a journey that often begins with curiosity, and a need to trust that what will emerge is telling me something. As they emerge, they whisper to me, truths I may have been ignoring, or possibly avoiding.
I can only hope they whisper to you too.
