I am largely inspired by the joy and glam of 70s, 80s, and 90s, including jazz, pop and rock music, iconic movies, unforgettable personalities of that era. I paint from the heart, using bright, often fluorescent colours, emphasising the atmosphere of these times rather than the very accuracy of a detail.
I like experimenting, crossing the boundaries between figurative and abstract, illustration and pop art, adding my own marks and symbols.
My ultimate aim is to create pieces which make people feel happy, with an added twist of warm nostalgia.
